A funeral home in Oliver, Canada, is giving toast to late loved ones by offering their clients custom engraved wines.
Funeral director Nolan Adam at Graham Funeral Home says that the idea came about after the death of his grandfather, an amateur winemaker who liked to share the wines he made with friends and family.
A couple of bottles were left behind after his passing, so there was a period of time when the Adams family was able to commemorate their late grandpa by enjoying a glass of his one-of-a-kind wine.
“I don’t want anyone else to have that same problem as me – having the wine run out of stock,” he said.
A Toast To The Dead
Graham’s clients receive a bottle of Little Engine Wines, each featuring a personalized label inscribed in memory of the departed. Whether celebrating an anniversary, birthday, or Christmas, loved ones can uncork the bottle to honor and remember the cherished life that was lost, creating a meaningful and lasting tribute.
One bottle comes complimentary for each client and more wines can be ordered at an additional cost.
Graham’s partnership with Little Engine Wines is based on their shared focus on craftsmanship. Adams praised Little Engine’s attention to detail, from the wine-making process to the elegant bottle presentation featuring a decorative cork.
“We prioritize the finer details in our products, and Little Engine Wines embodies the same dedication to quality and craftsmanship,” Adams explained.
Little Engine Wines is located in the heart of Canadian Wine Country and situated on the famed Naramata Bench. The wine estate offers a diverse selection of wines, including Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, and fortified wines, showcasing its expertise and commitment to quality across different styles.
