Sub par tasting expérience. Visited on a Monday morning, the tasting room staff were clueless. Couldn’t answer basic questions, served us a corked wine and seemed rather disinterested in us. Not at all the normal Robertson standard.

They have nice picnic basket that you can choose what to put in, so we had nice picnic lunch here, very pleasant to sit on the grass by the river, drinking wines and eat bread and cheese.

The Cape Blend is good value for money. Good wines overall and an interesting little shop!

Boat trip was great and was pleasantly surprised by the quiality of the wines, especially the Shiraz. Worth a visit.

Nice winery. I need to go back when its not about to close. Would really like to have a picnic on the boat. Wines were ok, nothing jumped out at me. I have written a review on my blog: read external review

Looks like the sort of place where you can have a real fun day out. The wines are OK, and they have a MCC! Do the boat trip and trawl for bass while doing it!

Was at Viljoensdrift for a wedding over the weekend and loved the experience. I was already a fan of their Cape Blend – medium bodied red at R39-50 – now that’s what I call value! Adding to my list is their Sauvignon Blanc.

We returned on the Sunday for their picnic baskets and a trip down the river on the ferry – a very relaxed and worthwhile experience.

Nicest place to visit. Grass banks for picnic, beautifull tasting and lookout over the river.
The best merlot ever tasted – simply exquisite!!!

Had an enjoyable afternoon on the Big Ben with wine and picnic. Couldn’t have asked for better weather!!

Their Shiraz definitely stood out and I would recommend this farm for a leasurely Sunday Afternoon picnic on the edge of the Breederevier any day.

Great setting. Had picnic and bottle of rose on the boat trip. Shame about the weather – it was extremely windy. Have tasted better wines, but very affordable and easy drinking styles

Tastings at this farm are along the river and it is great to picnic under the shade of the trees. This is where the Robertson wine festival is held every year and is a popular estate. Personally this has one of the best South Africa Shiraz wines.
