We were greeted by a charming hostess and were seated outside on the veranda. The presentation was great as well the wines. The history of the farm dates back to 1698. Lovely way to spend a Tuesday morning !

Lovely venue, friendly and well-informed tasting room assistant. We liked that we were offered a vertical of three vintages of Cab Sauv to taste, and two Shiraz. The olives and cheese are a nice touch too. Looking forward to visiting again in Feb/March 2013 when the new tasting room will be open.

Poor show for an estate that has obviously ploughed a lot of bucks into the making of it. They’re not open every Saturday but advertising that when they’re open it’s until 2pm. Got there at 1.45 after several roadwork stops along the road Phizante Kraal is on. Waited very patiently while the attendant dealt with people completing their purchases to then be told “actually we’re closed already”. No apology for being kept waiting and then closed before closing time! Unacceptable I’m afraid.
