Tucked away in the stellenbosch region one should find themselves quite lucky to discover this little piece of “Paradys”….

if one is looking for a more quiet, relaxed, non-commercial feel then Vriesenhof is the place for you. Not overwhelmed are crowded by staff or people Vriesenhof is one of the places one can get a more intimate tasting from either the winemaker or events co-ordinator on the premises.

A Big Wow factor for me was the Chardonnay(Wooded Chardonnay)……. I personally find Chardonnay’s unbearable yet a could not stop sipping theirs!!! Finally…..a Chardonnay I can call my own!

Take the time for a more relaxed, winetasting experience with outstanding sceneries…… you wont be sorry…. ;p

Had the pleasure of a personal wine tasting given by Nicky the winemaker. You can tell he really loves his job and has great pride in his wines. Very laid back but informative tasting. The Vriesenhof chardonnay, Kallista and pinot noir are beautifully crafted classic wines and very reasonably priced for stylish wines.

Jan Boland is our country’s Burgundy expert, and when he talks wine people tend to listen. His Pinot Noir’s can do with a bit of ageing, and the Chardonnays are better than most others. But it’s not about awards, glamour and glitz at this estate you will soon discover after passing through the gates in the Paradyskloof estate…no, it’s about passion for the grape, and he just epitomize what every winemaker should strive for.
