Lovely tasting room and we had the end table perched up high to ourselves. Had a great chocolate and potstill brandy tasting and the attendant was fabulous, friendly and funny.

Revisited the farm. Wines are still good and the tasting attendant very friendly and informative. Unfortunately upon leaving one of the farm workers tried to force me off the road in his farm bakkie and then swore at me! Will thus not be returning.

went there coz one of our wine society members was working there and she kept inviting us. we were not happy about the R25 tasting fee but felt a bit better when we were told that we get to keep our glasses.
Mordern tasting room with a lot of water flowing everwhere.

Uitkyk is an authentic Wine Estate with a friendly host that made us feel welcome. They produce about 1,8 million litters of wine per year and it’s definitely drinkable.

If you are foreigner you can pronounce the wine farm’s name as 8 CAKE.

Favorite wine: Shiraz/Mourverde 2006

Mourverde was first produced in France but are now mostly produced by the Spaniards.
