Tell us about your experience at Swartland Wine Cellar
If you are a person that likes your semi sweet or sweet wines, this is the place to be. Loved the Bukettraube. Beautiful flavours of butterscotch and honeysuckle. The Red Jeripiko almost smells like grape jam, sweet and juicy. It’s been a long time since I have been there, I most definitely have to make a point this year to go and have a look at their new vintages.
The Pick and Pay of the Swartland where everyone comes to buy their wine stock for whatever reason at unbelievably low prices. I myself walked out with a box. Nothing special here at all other than the unbelievable ‘value for money’ (? – not sure yet). A good start to your wine adventures should you decide to take either the R45 or R46 into the Swartland …
This was our first stop on our great Swartland trip Neil was in tasting room and he just let us have a go at any of the wines we wanted. His tasting was informative, relaxed and entertaining. the wines are just too many to mention and the price range is just up my ally from R15 a bottle to R90.
at the end of tasting all 200 hundred wines here we where so happy and well on our way to getting broke
typical big cellar atmosphere…good value for money I suppose but an easily forgettable experience
What a waist of good vines. I am sure if this is looked after properly you should be able to produce mutch better wines.
Mostly mass produced drinking stuff. Indalo range is tasty but slightly overpriced – as is the Idelia.
Two visits, two disappointments. The first time we felt like we were inconveniencing the staff, the second time we had a dull tasting of very ordinary wines.
Conveniant and on the main route – easy to find
Inexpensive reasonable wines – good for every day drinking
But they must get some more exciting informative person to do the tastings
Eagle Crest range are good for the price
If you are looking for easy drinking and cheap wine, this is the place for you. They have quite a big variety of wines and their more expensive range is the Indalo.
The tasting room has a standard look. The lady that helped us was friendly but boring. She had absolutely nothing to say.
The most interesting thing at Swartland Cellar was their port bottles. Please refer to the photo gallery. Thank goodness for sparkling.
Cheap Cheap
I like pensioners day on Tuesdays!
The Corporate of this wine route. Nothing special about this place, but that said the wines will suit every pocket
