We were welcomed by a very friendly lady before we even made it half way to the cellar door. Definitely the warmest welcome out of all the wine farms in the region. After chit-chatting a bit we started the tasting which was informal, extremely informative and fun. The wines where as good as the service and prices vs quality were spot on. As if the experience was not already epic enough, to top it all, we had an up-close encounter with a harmless snake who slowly made his way over the back lawn. Out of all the tasting rooms in Elim, Strandveld takes the top spot in all aspects. Just shows you what difference a friendly welcome can make!

I had my very first Pinot noir there a few year ago, didn’t like Pinot Noir at first. Now I love it and will have to go back to really appreciate this one.

Love this farm! Rustic tasting room has real charm. We’ve been there several times and never been disappointed. And the Pinot Noir is yummy.

Being Elim, look out for the Sauvignon Blanc, but for something really special try the Adamastor. I can drink it every day.

been visiting strandveld ever year we go to Elim and Conrad makes is special everytime we visit. If he is not there he leaves specific instructions for the U.S.W.C.S to get special treatment we even forget that we are students .
he gave us the best vertcal tastings of the Pinot noir and Syrah
