Lovely experience and superb value for money!
Person in tast room did not know a thing about there wine and could not give a single answer that make sense about there wine. They also did not wave our tasting fee after we bought some top quality wines from them very cheeky I would say.
The tasting room assistant was very charming and friendly but knew nothing about how the wines were made. We chose to taste the premium range and bought some wine but the tasting fee was not discounted on purchase. #fail
Very average wines
Avarage, good value for money wine, but nothing spectacular.
We had an enjoyable time tasting wine here. The children had a lovely and secure play place, thus not bothering the grownups. Fair prices, everyday drinking wine. I like.
Had a good experience, very informative, but below average wine, typical co-op wines
These guys do a great job of being average keep it up!
great wine selection also and the prices average
Simonsvlei is known as the place with the big bottle that is situated next to the N1 between Cape Town and Paarl.
I’m sure they use to have picnics on the outside grass, but the smell of the pond is not very refreshing any more. What a pity. The restaurant also closed down. The tasting room was neat and had a cooperate feel to it. I like the way that they combined the interior with some nice art pieces. The guy behind the counter was friendly, but uninformative and boring. He just poured the wine and then turned his back on us.
The wine was easy drinking and affordable. I would have probably bought more if it wasn’t for the host.
The best thing about the place was the music which was some old Roxette classics…..and then you should know! I really hope that they up their game a bit and bring back their customers, otherwise the tasting room is going to stay as it is…….EMPTY!
