Ons het ‘n kans gevat vanoggend en opgery tot by Mount Babylon, met die hoop dat daar iemand is om ons te help met ‘n wyn-proe. Aangekom by Mount Babylon, was ons nie heeltemal seker of ons op die regte plek is nie. ‘n Tweeling van 1 jaar en twee maande speel op die gras met hul pienk t-shirts en langs die dam is twee seuntjies besig om vis te vang. Baie rustig en huislik.

Yolanda Holtzhauzen groet en verwelkom ons en verduidelik dat hulle nie regtig oop is vir proe nie, maar aangesien ons nou daar is kan ons net sowel proe.

Net daar maak sy vir ons ‘n bottel SMV oop, mmmmm … lekker. ‘n goed gebalanseerde wyn met heerlike peper op die tong! Ons het ook hul Shiraz bubbly geproe, baie vars en baie borrels. Heerlik vir die somer wat kom.

The label on the Bubbly bottle is very unique and special.
They are planning open-days during December with tastings and more. We are looking forward to going up the mountain again.
