Tell us about your experience at Marianne Fine Wines
Wonderful tasting and some realy nice wines here , attendant realy well informed. Pitty about the high alcohols.
I have a thing about wineries that say they are open but the gates are closed. In this case, we buzzed on the intercom and they opened for us. I’m glad we didn’t turn back at the sight of the closed gate because Marianne is well worth a visit. The wines are very much new world style with ripe fruit and high alcohols, but they are beautifully balanced.
Fantastic tasting experience with a beautiful view. Matthieu gave us so much info about the farm while being very enthusiastic. Always good to see staff very proud of the wines they are selling. Wines show French flair with the Rose being the stand out.
Fantastic tasting experience with French flair very prominent in the wines. The reds all show great ageing potential with especially the Shiraz outstanding. Also probably the most interesting Rose that you can taste in SA today. Tasting room classy without being over the top and the service friendly. Worth a visit.
Its very rare that a winery manages to balance great wine, great tasting venue, great service, great setting and again great wine across the range. Marianne has achieved all of that the wines are phenomenal particularly the pinotage and the Floreal and the Cape blend.
The wines speak for themselves and they speak volumes. The tasting centre is eclectic and contemporary. You just need to get used to Franck’s French accen.
Great place
Marianne is a highly symbolic name for French people. Marianne, a national emblem of France, is a personification of Liberty, Equality and Fraternity (Brotherhood).
We were pleasantly surprised with Marianne Fine Wines. Our friendly host Cedric definitely knows his wines. With lovely scenery and very good wines we had an awesome time and it felt as if we were at a Wine Estate in France. Loved the Pinotage 2004 as well as the Shiraz, but the wine that stole our hearts was the Desirade 2004. Definitely worth a visit.
Found some nice wines here.
