What a gem of a discovery!!! Lyngrove is actually a guest house which makes for a lovely homely feel. They are apparently owned by a Dutch company and all their wine has been exported in the past, until a couple of months ago. Lucky for us I say. The Sauvignon Blanc R49.50 and Chardonnay R60 are stunning and really good value. I totally loved the added bonus of a discount if you buy 6 bottles. Not enough farms make it worth your while to outlay the extra money. They have a range of reds that are unwooded, the usual suspects, Pinotage, Merlot, Shiraz and all priced at R49.50 too. They have 3 wines on their “premium” range at R125 each. They are wooded and stunning and the best part, all open for tasting.
They are open by appointment only but it really is worth a visit.
