Experienced poor service (rather no service) at the restaurant. With a total of 6 guest in the restaurant we had to wait more than an hour for one platter to be served. Chicken was still raw and frozen. We reported it when we had to walk to reception to request the bill, the manager on duty insisted that we pay full price without apologising. I phoned their admin office the next day to report the incident - the person promised a voucher - it is more than a year later now and I am still waiting...

Lindhorst wines are so full of volatile acidity that it falls flat within 20 minutes of being opened. Corners are cut in the vineyard, and you only need to drive up to the tasting room and have a look at the Shiraz vineyards to understand what I am saying. Mediocre wine with the exception of the Viognier which is bought in.

Met a very friendly gentleman there who was very generous with the tasting sampples we tasted the whole range and chatted for close to 2 hours. Big plans they have there with the restaurant and wine shop. something thats welcome and refreshing definately keep an eye out.
The wines where a tad above average the statement stood out the most for me

The drive up to Lindhorst is really enjoyable, because it feels as if you are part of the vineyards.

On our arrival we were welcomed by the host, who was friendly. The wine was quite expensive and it tasted a bit watery at times. According to the host the prices are a bit steep due to the fact that they are a boutique winery. They produce between 2000 and 11 000 bottles per cultivar. Boutique you say?

The setting was lovely though and one can even play a round of Qolf. It's best described as a cross between golf and croquet and was invented in South Africa. It looks like fun!
