Tell us about your experience at Lanzerac Wines
Good day everyone!
Lanzerac is under new ownership as well as management. And we would like you to come and visit our tasting room. We are open Monday – Sunday, 9:30-16:30.
We have the standard wine tasting option, R20pp for any 4 wines, or our popular Wine and Chocolate pairing, R50pp, 5 wines paired with 5 hand selected chocolates. Cellar tours are complementary, daily at 11h00 and 15h00. You can also enjoy our cheese platters with a glass of wine…
John Platter 2013 rated our Rose 3.5 stars and 4.5 stars for all our other wines! Our Le General 2009 won gold at Veritas and at the Michelangelo International Wine Awards.

good food and wine pairing, but no great wines…mu 1969 pinotage is the best thing about these guys
I enjoyed this farm. Service was pleasant if not exceptional and I enjoyed the quality of the wines.
Wine is CRAP. Service was SHOCKING. It’s a pity that such an old Stellenbosch winery is going to the dogs. They should not call it Lanzerac anymore – the name is surely ashamed…
The wines are no that great at all but we received friendly service. We had a nice chat with the hostess and an overall good experience. It’s interesting to note that this farm belongs to the same owner as Lourensford.
Another farm I visited ages ago, in this case, it sort of stayed as I remembered it; squat in the middle of a residential area, leafy driveway and standard well-kept buildings where you will find anything in the hospitality industry under one roof: restaurant, hotel, spa, etc. The tasting room is very close to standing on the edge of being commercial but managed to keep it homey to a certain extend.
Trays and trays of chocolates welcomed us at the entrance to, what seemed to be, two separate tasting rooms. The first for massive tour groups and the second for the smaller groups and individual travelers. Our hostess had our glasses full compared to the normal quantity one would get on a tasting trip and was extremely professional. Overall pleasant experience.
Terrible wines, terrible tasting room experience… do not waste your time.
Danel is the best wine tasting person ever, and really knows how to make a visit enjoyable. The wines and the farm are good, and the service EXCELLENT! Want to go again and again
Just past Stellenbosch, nestled between the hills – I just loved this farm
