its so cool to taste wine in an old prison…pity the wines up for tasting lack character..

This historic building is also a museum and the wine tasting fee includes a wander through the well-maintained rooms. The tasting is downstairs in the old prison, something a bit different and fun. It’s a casual, serve-yourself experience with tasting notes on the barrels with the wines.

The tasting downstairs where you help yourself to al the differant wines and saw some of the older labels that I use to drink in my younger days. Chardonay was a nice surprise.

Loved the tasting room in the ‘dungeon” atmosphere and the “help yourself” kind of tasting was something different. Wines weren’t too bad either.
