Creation where to begin? Popped in on Thursday afternoon and Kyle gave us a very informative and delightfully tasting. They have a quint tasting room with lovely views and the wines are equally quint the viognier was rather refreshing and stood out.
Well worth the visit
We were there at the end of January, and since then I’ve encountered them at a few local wine shows, Die Burger Proefees being the latest, and they continue to surprise me with the quality of their wines. Their Chardonnay and Syrah / Grenache blend are particularly divine. Definitely one of my favourite spots. ☺

We popped in during our trip in April…. though they have a stunning tasting room and great wines, the service is terrible! The staff couldn’t be less interested in us…. a quick rumbling off about the wine and that’s it… very disappointing and left quite a bad taste in our mouth! Doubt i’ll be back!

To my regret I just stopped in for a quick tasting. Creation Wines offers great wines, beautiful views and informative staff (Neldi was our wine tasting assistant). I was jealously eyeing the food and wine pairings the other wine tasters were enjoying.
I’m definitely coming back for those food and wine pairing platters.

Creation was wonderful….as parents they have a great kids room, wonderful wine, delicious food and a fantastic atmosphere. I would highly recommend a visit to this vineyard….
the most amazing winery with the warmest welcome … when ever u arrive! even at 11 on a Sunday morning without a booking with guests from the Far east…. they were blown away! … and us the Hermanus locals so proud! x
Cant wait for yr new local menu! x

What an experience – food and wine pairing and then a chat with the winemaker about his great wines – the highlight of our weekend in Hermanus with wine friends

My favourite winery on a recent holiday to South Africa. Loved the wine, especially the syrah/grenache and the sauvignon blanc. Worth the journey up the gravel road from Hermanus. Greatviews and try to time a tasting with lunch – fantastic meat platter
gorgeous Pinot, lovely cool area Sauv Blanc. Had a great meal while tasting the wines and my little one loved playing with the wooden house and toys – a staff member keeper her company whilst we enjoyed Creation’s hospitality.
Thanks and well done.

Their wine tasting room is unbelievable. The friendly wine taster made my day last December. He predicted their Merlot to become a winner and he was correct
What a superb tasting room and the staff were fabulous. Special thanks to Phillip who really knows his wines and is clearly passionare about Creation. I love the fact that the owners are usually around – thanks to Caroline for adding to our enjoyment. We also had a biltong and blue cheese salad, and the springbok pie while we did the tasing and much enjoyed it all.

Whenever I visit Creation,I feel as if I came home. The wine is delectable and Pamela really knows how to present Creation’s wine in such a way that I want to purchase just a few more bottles that I really wanted to.Thank you for creating delicious wines that we can savor with your lovely salads and wonderful atmosphere. While my husband is playing the piano,I enjoy good wine and good company.

Great place, great wine, great food!! Had a ball!!!
Beautiful venue & view. Road leading to the wine tasting/restaurant not so beautiful. Wines were ok but we could not taste the good stuff (all sold out).

Beautiful venue, friendly staff, but shitty road in (they had rain though, so it could be that the road washed away a bit) and some pretty ordinary wines in my opinion. The only wines I found interesting was the Syrah and Syrah/Grenache blend. Unfortunately the Pinot Noir, Semillon and Chardonnay were all still pre release, so perhaps we missed the best they have on offer. The staff were friendly if a bit harried by all the people.

Met eish… Reading these reviews is rubbing salt in the wounds!
On Thursday night of the 9th of September my girlfriend treated me to an impromptu night in the Hemel-en-Aarde valley as part of my 30th birthday present. Next morning, a beautiful morning with sun shining after some refreshing rain, we stopped by Creation on our way out. The sign at the entrance to the farm indicated that they had opened an hour prior to our arrival but when we arrived at the tasting facility all was closed. We stood at the glass front door and saw a gentleman and a lady standing and chatting inside. The gentleman walked in our direction which made us think he were coming to welcome us in…
Not so much…
The gentleman walked straight passed us without opening the door. We waited some more.. and some more… and some more… nothing. There they stood, approximately 20 meters in front us while we stood at the door. And so we left… tried to phone the venue but we lost signal. Pity.. it seems.

What an amazing place. Beautiful setting, amazing people and awesome wine. What more can one ask for? We were welcomed by Pamela Gordon Anderson and Kevin Baadjies Bacon. They were so cool and treated us like family. Kevin, the assistant winemaker at Creation, took us on a tour of the cellar while Pamela organised our tasting platter. In the cellar we tasted several barrel samples and Kevin even showed us the window of opportunity, while he shared his incredible life story.
Back in the tasting room we enjoyed the wines paired with several canapés while chatting to Pamela. It was a very memorable experience which earned them a 10/10. Definitely one of the best tasting experiences I’ve had and possible one of the best in South Africa.

Driving up to a wonderful location below the mountain catches your eye through the superbly laid out vines. We had a fantastic mixed platter with Cheeses and Meats which really complimented the Pinot Noir’s very well balanced structure and ever so slight wood spice.
I completely agree with the other posts, all the Grapes are improving and this really is a hidden treasure .My friends from Napier have been a few times since and the comment is “Completely adore the food , wine and friendly informative staff” So it looks like the secret of success ‘Consistency’ prevails!
Conclusion : Visit this lovely destination or you are missing the boat!
Dare I say the best tasting room in the…country….well if not yet then soon, I mean where else do they serve you chardonnay out of a chardonnay Riedel glass?? Oh and the wines are spectacular and getting better with each vintage
What a ‘fun’ visit, cellar tour included … spent a couple of hours at Creation, enjoyed both scenery, atmosphere and of course the wines … enjoyed a bottle of Sauvignon Blanc on the balcony … would definitely recommend.
Image, a place deep in a forest the quite surroundings, great wine, and great people, this is what you get when visiting Creation, a fun wine & food paring session, and great wine to enjoy with you meals, I must say one of the best experience I had this weekend past.

Really tasty Sauvignon Blanc and Viognier.
