Yet another reason to visit Calitzdorp. Impressed with the dry reds and the sweeties, and the prices!

Well educated tasting attendant bought some of their Shiraz, Lovely view from the tasting room.

Calitzdorp is one of the best kept secrets in the Port Capital. Even maybe South Africa. Their Shiraz outstanding and extremely well priced. Chardonnay the best in the Port Capital with a Merlot that don’t stand back for any other Merlot in the Southern and Western Cape.
We not even going to start with the fortifieds which is some of the best Muscadels and Port in the country. They even got the certificates to proof. Really one of the small little secrets of this beautiful town. Go and buy and sit outside and enjoy the amazing view of the Gamka Valley.
