We didn’t taste the wines but it’s a picturesque setting to have brunch!
Booked a tour and were guided around by the winemaker himself (Clinton who’s subsequently left). Fantastic wines and a farm with lots of character!
We were last here a few years ago but their attitude was amazing. “Have a seat outside, here’s a bottle of x to taste, let us know when you’d like to try the next one”. No stingy little taster poured by some hovering assistant – what a pleasure!
I can’t comment on the tasting room or the view (haven’t been lucky enought to visit yet) but the Hidden Valley pinotage is sublime!
Stayed over at Mischa’s guest cottage during the Wellington wine festival. Mischa’s moroccan tent setup was awesome and their red wines are fantastic! We received 10% off any purchases since we stayed there. The reds were about R100 per bottle, I reckon this is justified given the quality.
The pinotage is obviously a cult-classic (can highly recommend the JHB launch festival), and the Heaven’s Eye and Goshoawk’s Chant reds are great too!
Always seem to be too busy, too uninterested in anyone except tourists!
Love this farm (got engaged to my wife while picnicking at the dam here), can recommend their chardonnay and the easy drinking chameleon reds. Cobblers Hill red is delicious but pricey!
One of our favourites! A must-visit estate with amazing wines!
Their sauvignon blanc is well worth trying!
We couldn’t decide whether to buy the cab sav or the chardonnay. After deciding on the red the tasting assistant brought us both bottles…she gave us a bottle of the chardonnay free! gratis! mahala! Understandably been quite a fan of theirs ever since!
