We had lunch at their restaurant. I thought the decor was very tasteful and thoughtfully done out. What I liked most was their vegetable garden which made for lots of interesting produce to look at.
I was impressed by their Methode Cap Classique. Definitely on my list of favourites for my next party. Stunning venue for events with gorgeous views where you can relax and be yourself. They can arrange a dance floor under the stars.
Loved the Wine Tram to Rickety Bridge. A classic experience that locals & tourists will be delighted in. http://www.winetram.co.za
Love the unique tasting room in the old station, done with such charm.
Went with some guests from Paris, France to Allee Bleue & it’s French influence was very appealing. The starlet pinotage is on my christmas ‘wish’ list.
I know I shouldn’t be calling their ‘bubbly’ champagne but to me it’s just that. Their Cap Classique and the way that they harvest under the stars is heavenly. I’m definitely putting the Summer Elegance event in my calendar for later this year.
The wine estate is a modern masterpiece with wonderful architecture and art work. I’m still a little undecided about their wine label though.
The prettiest winery, no wonder it’s such a gorgeous wedding venue. As far as wine goes I particularly liked their Pinotage.
I got a lovely call from JC le Roux to rectify the situation. Pleased to know that their service has improved, so will be good to go back knowing that they’re treating their customers like ‘gold’.
One of my worst wine tasting experiences. They’ll lucky though to be in such an idyllic location as the Devon Valley is beautiful.
One of the prettiest wineries I’ve been to. I love it!
I’ve been wanting to go there some quite some time. Finally did and was well worth it. With stunning views and friendly staff.
Can’t wait for the new tasting room to be open for summer!
Beautiful! Everything about it is lovely. The garden is stunning, views incredible. It’s a gem.
Enjoyed a stunning Gourmet Evening on Friday. The menu started off with ginger, honey and chilli marinated prawns which was kindly substituted for salmon for me on a salad of baby rocked, duck live and shitake mushroom terrine, mango and mint sorbet, lamb loin noisette, camembert and hazelnut tart and malva pudding with pistachio and spicy mandarin ice cream. Each course served with delicious Clos Malverne Estate Wine.
A top class establishment !
Gorgeous views and cool under the well established oak trees.
Today had a lovely wine tasting with 4 whites followed by a lovely lunch at “Fresh” having a gorgonzola & pear salad. Perfect mid week treat! The restaurant feels welcoming where you can linger & enjoy a long lunch…
I really wanted to see the wine art at Tokara so i finally made my first visit to the farm. The art simply makes use of canvas & wine which I think incredible. It is very appealing & so is Tokara. I felt the farm warm & friendly. The deli was a perfect place for a casual well priced lunch & child friendly. The service was great & I’d definitely recommend it.
We had the perfect ‘after five’ drinks at Peter Falke. The comfortable couches with colourful cushions was the ideal place to chill with friends. The view is gorgeous of the Stellenbosch mountains overlooking a rose garden. We also had an amazing cheese platter with a selection of cheeses, strawberries, mulberry’s (my favourite) & figs. By the time the sun was setting the lights came on with fairy lights and a spot light on the willow tree at the end of the garden wrapped in red fabric. (Even the trees are cared for in this intimate & beautiful wine farm).
Ivory has been a favourite so far this summer!
the strawberry trio desert was amazing!
