Just when you thought it couldn’t get any better – Welvanpas have the most unbelievable mountain bike routes departing into the Bovlei valley – a must do!!!
This is an establishment that easily surpasses any wine farm i’ve visited to date. Every little detail, wether it be gardens, deli, wine-tasting, chocolates. . .is done to incredibly high standards.
If you own, work at, or are involved in the hospitality industry within South Africa – you need to visit, and explore this magnificent treasure. The staff are welcoming, cordial, and enthused in their respective vocations.
Not sure about what to do in the winelands, and you want to impress family, friends, or guests – head off to this South African wine Mecca!!

Had a wonderful lunch, of which the quality and presentation was first class. Having only had a glass of the Sauvignon Blanc, it was the perfect pairing for both the food and the great setting. The barrel cellar is truly awesome, and is unique in all aspects. Whether it’s a romantic lunch or family outing – I highly recommend a visit!
Had a super dinner there last night, and was really impressed with the qaulity of the food – superb!!! The 2009 Oude Wellington Chardonnay is drinking really nicely.
I forgot all about the wine on my visit to L’Ormarins, as I found ‘Tifosi’ heaven at the Franschoek Motor Museum. This is an estate well worth the visit on an excursion into the winelands!

Blanc de Noir is always a consistent from Boschendal – a true representation of what wine estates of the old cape vintage used to be!! A very relaxing departure from the city life!

Tokara is by far one of the most exceptional wine estates in South Africa – just full blown awesomeness from the time you see the estate till you leave.
Just can’t knock this estate – always a dependable and safe bet on a wine tour!
