I was here for a market. I enjoyed the wine tasting and the wine and the service was good. I recommend visiting this winery when the market is on. Get a group of friends together and relax here, its really nice!! You can view my full review on http://westerncapewineries.blogspot.com/2011/09/meerendal.html

I am a fan of this winery. The view is lovely, the service is good and the wine is great!! We enjoyed a cheese platter on the stoep while admiring the view and enjoying our wine tasting. I can’t wait for them to open the restaurant!! You can see my ful review on http://westerncapewineries.blogspot.com/2011/09/de-grendel.html. This is one of my favourite wineries in Durbanville!!!
We really liked this winery. The service is good and the male that was serving us was very informative. For a full review plese go to http://westerncapewineries.blogspot.com/2011/11/diemersdal.html. I am a big fan of their Sauvignon Blanc which sells for R49 a bottle. We recently opened the Grenache we bought and we really like that too. Can’t wait to open the Pinotage!!!
We had a good experience here. I wasn’t a fan of the lining up to pay, get a sticker and then go to the wine tasting section. But the ladies who served us were great. You can see my full review on http://westerncapewineries.blogspot.com/2011/08/groot-constantia.html.
Tip: Don’t go to the tasting room near the entrance. Continue to drive up to the car park for the museum. Walk past the retaurant and when you see the museum go right and there is a tasting room just near Simons (perhaps parking at Simons might be easier). Here you get a much better wine tasting experience!!! I went to this tasting room the second time when we went by the red bus.
I loved this winery. The service was good and the wine was really good. You can see my full review on http://westerncapewineries.blogspot.com/2011/06/constantia-uitsig.html. I used to like the MCC a lot but then I took a bottle to NZ and when we compared it to a NZ methode Traditionalle I wasn’t as impressed. The Sauvignon Blanc was awesome though. I took that back to NZ also, and the flavour was just immense and better than my favourite NZ SB!! This winery is a fav of mine. I have dined at the Constantia Uitsig restaurant also and had a very nice meal and time there.
I love the view from the porch where you do the tasting. The service was very good and the lady serving knew a lot about the wine. I liked the MCC and the Sauvignon Blanc, but unfortunately didn’t like the reds. You can view my full review on http://westerncapewineries.blogspot.com/2011/11/high-constantia.html
We had a good experience here. The wine and service was good. You can see my full review on http://westerncapewineries.blogspot.com/2011/08/eagles-nest.html
My experience here wasn’t the best because it was really busy when I went there, with only two people serving. My favourite wine was the Vinde Constance (R370 a bottle). You can view my review on http://westerncapewineries.blogspot.com/2011/08/klein-constantia.html
We had a very nice experience here. The weather was perfect: blue sky and sunny. We went last year in August. We sat on the porch and enjoyed a cheese platter while trying the wines. The service was really good. You can check out my full review on http://westerncapewineries.blogspot.com/2011/08/constantia-glen.html. I definitely recommend visiting this winery.
My friend and I had a nice experience here.We tried almost all of the wine. There are a lot of wines on the list to try, think its about 20+!! The service was good. Tasting room is nice.
This is a nice winery. The tasting was in the restaurant at the bar. We were poured all three wines and were left with the bottles to read the labels etc. No information was given. We liked the wine though. The restaurant is nicely decorated with paintings hung on the wall. I liked the feature door also. The place feels modern and welcoming. Might just go here for lunch on Saturday.
I liked this winery a lot. The lady serving us was really friendly, we arrived here just before it closed and she was more than happy for us to come in for a tasting. We are going tomorrow for dinner. I am looking forwar to sitting on the decking drinking their wine and eating pizza under the willow trees beside the dam!!!
I visited this winery a month ago and loved it. We arrived just before it closed and the winemaker welcomed us in. I loved the Chardonnay!! Highly recommend visiting this winery!!!
Creation was wonderful….as parents they have a great kids room, wonderful wine, delicious food and a fantastic atmosphere. I would highly recommend a visit to this vineyard….
My friends and I went here specifically for the tri-nations tasting. Was great to try Aussie and NZ wines also. I was a little bit disappointed with the choice of wines to represent NZ, however, it was just great to have some home soil wines
Werner was fantastic. He has a great passion and knowledge on wine. He made us feel very welcome and spent a great amount of time and attention going through the wines with us. It was great.
We had an amazing lunch here also. We all loved the place. You can check out my full review on my wine blog http://westerncapewineries.blogspot.com/
I would recommend this place. Be sure to come for lunch also though!!
This is a nice winery. It is a big estate that the winery is on. The lake and all the trees make for a sweet place to walk around. The wines are ok. The 360 degrees SB2010 and the Syrah 2007 were my favourites. I have done a full review on this winery on my wine blog: http://westerncapewineries.blogspot.com/
Service was good and the cheese was nice here.
The service was very good at this winery. The wine was lovely. I bough three bottles of wine here, all whites. I would recommend people visit this winery. Go now though, because the drive out that way is so beautiful with all the leaves changing colour, its absolutely beautiful!!
I will write a review on my wine blog with more information. Be sure to check it out on http://westerncapewineries.blogspot.com/.
Loved this winery. Was a great experience. The service was nice, wine was lovely and I agree that the Pierneef Shiraz Viognier was very nice. I look forward to going back for a lunch. I liked the wines here. I thought they were all very nice and great quality wines. I did a standard wine tasting and a MCC tasting. The original Brut was my favourite. As for the wines, I loved the Pinotage. It was so smooth and had great flavours to it. Be sure to check out my review on my wine blog for my full review: http://westerncapewineries.blogspot.com/
Nice wines here. A lot of easy drinking, qwaffing wines, great value for money. I really liked the noble late harvest, the cape ruby port and the 3L cask of sauvignon blanc was a bargain. Worth checking out if in the area. You can see my full review on my wine blog: http://westerncapewineries.blogspot.com/

This is a nice winery. We enjoyed a wine tasting and cheese tasting here. We also ate at the restaurant for lunch. The cheese was fantastic, wine was average, and food at the restaurant was very nice. Be sure to check out my review on my wine blog: http://westerncapewineries.blogspot.com/2011/03/anura-winery.html
This winery is nice. We went for a wine tasting the first time, and then went back for a lunch the next time. I loved the Pinotage Burger. As for the wines, I found the reds a bit dry, but loved the chenin blanc pinotage. You can see my full review on my wine blog http://westerncapewineries.blogspot.com/2011/03/beyerskloof-stellenbosch.html
I liked this winery. We tried all the wines on offer. I really enjoyed the Like Father Like Son wines. The chenin blanc and rose were my favourite. They are true value for money!! They were on special at R60 for three wines when we went. I hope to go back again soon and stock up on more of these easy drinking wines. I also liked their sweeter wines, the Bon Courage Gewurtztraminer and the Bon Courage White Muscadel.
