We really liked this winery. The service is good and the male that was serving us was very informative. For a full review plese go to http://westerncapewineries.blogspot.com/2011/11/diemersdal.html. I am a big fan of their Sauvignon Blanc which sells for R49 a bottle. We recently opened the Grenache we bought and we really like that too. Can’t wait to open the Pinotage!!!

We had a good experience here. I wasn’t a fan of the lining up to pay, get a sticker and then go to the wine tasting section. But the ladies who served us were great. You can see my full review on http://westerncapewineries.blogspot.com/2011/08/groot-constantia.html.

Tip: Don’t go to the tasting room near the entrance. Continue to drive up to the car park for the museum. Walk past the retaurant and when you see the museum go right and there is a tasting room just near Simons (perhaps parking at Simons might be easier). Here you get a much better wine tasting experience!!! I went to this tasting room the second time when we went by the red bus.

I loved this winery. The service was good and the wine was really good. You can see my full review on http://westerncapewineries.blogspot.com/2011/06/constantia-uitsig.html. I used to like the MCC a lot but then I took a bottle to NZ and when we compared it to a NZ methode Traditionalle I wasn’t as impressed. The Sauvignon Blanc was awesome though. I took that back to NZ also, and the flavour was just immense and better than my favourite NZ SB!! This winery is a fav of mine. I have dined at the Constantia Uitsig restaurant also and had a very nice meal and time there.

I love the view from the porch where you do the tasting. The service was very good and the lady serving knew a lot about the wine. I liked the MCC and the Sauvignon Blanc, but unfortunately didn’t like the reds. You can view my full review on http://westerncapewineries.blogspot.com/2011/11/high-constantia.html

This is a nice winery. The tasting was in the restaurant at the bar. We were poured all three wines and were left with the bottles to read the labels etc. No information was given. We liked the wine though. The restaurant is nicely decorated with paintings hung on the wall. I liked the feature door also. The place feels modern and welcoming. Might just go here for lunch on Saturday.

We are going tomorrow for dinner. I am looking forwar to sitting on the decking drinking their wine and eating pizza under the willow trees beside the dam!!!

My friends and I went here specifically for the tri-nations tasting. Was great to try Aussie and NZ wines also. I was a little bit disappointed with the choice of wines to represent NZ, however, it was just great to have some home soil wines :-)
Werner was fantastic. He has a great passion and knowledge on wine. He made us feel very welcome and spent a great amount of time and attention going through the wines with us. It was great.
We had an amazing lunch here also. We all loved the place. You can check out my full review on my wine blog http://westerncapewineries.blogspot.com/

This is a nice winery. It is a big estate that the winery is on. The lake and all the trees make for a sweet place to walk around. The wines are ok. The 360 degrees SB2010 and the Syrah 2007 were my favourites. I have done a full review on this winery on my wine blog: http://westerncapewineries.blogspot.com/

They were on special at R60 for three wines when we went. I hope to go back again soon and stock up on more of these easy drinking wines.
